A few of the leaders of various fictionkin communities have received an email request for an interview regarding fictionkin, including myself. The sender claims to be working for a company focused on youth topics. There are quite a few problems with this request. One of these problems is inaccurate and disproportionate representation of us. Not only is our community not exclusively youth focused in the least (I'm 26, to give an idea), the media has a history of exaggerating or even fabricating things to make communities like fictionkin look bad. I strongly urge anyone who receives such an email to either ignore the email or politely decline the interview.
