Forum Software Update Tonight (Possible Downtime)

I will be updating the forum software tonight. The update will start sometime between 1 AM and 4 AM Central Standard Time. Please do not be alarmed if the forum goes down briefly tonight.

There's a certain shade of blue that causes me physical pain. The blue of the forum was okay for me, though. But I still like this brown/orange theme A LOT better. It reminds me of old paper and it looks very soothing for me.

On that (ultra delayed!!) note, I wanna thank Elsa for upgrading everything for us, finding us a new theme, and spending the night making sure everything went smoothly! We're running better than ever!

I also want to take the time to give a HUGE shout-out to Kaito, of the Fortissimo system, for his knowledge of the software our forum uses, and for helping us get everything squared away!! We appreciate everyone who contributes to improving this place! Kaito, you've been a great big help! We seem to have a hard time with the colour blue, as well! I agree with you that this is a bit easier on the eyes! Glad to hear you like it!!

Haha, yes! There's just something pleasantly sunny about this shade of orange and definitely fits the site better than the blue.

Old paper is a pretty apt description of it, heheh. Makes it extra appropriate for a site for people from fiction. ;3

If you're having any issues with the current theme and you want to use the forum software's default theme instead, you can select it thus:

Profile -> Modify Profile -> Look and Layout -> Current theme. Hit the 'change' link and select 'SMF Default Theme - Curve' as your new theme.

I'm sorry to say, no. I definitely preferred the old theme too, but sometimes when you upgrade the software, older themes may no longer work, as was the case here. This is why I changed the theme.

Like Miles said, however, you should be able to set it to a softer theme through your profile.

Also yea, the orange was a bit much on my eyes as well but happy it can be changed in the profile.
