Main Site Update: Canon Friend Finder

You may have noticed, or may soon notice, that I have done a little bit of work on the main site. It's not perfect, and it's far from complete, but we now have a page for fictionkin and fictives (whether registered on the forum or not) to list themselves in order to find members of their canon or anyone interested in chatting with them. The canons are listed in alphabetical order. The page can be found here: http://fictionkin.com/canon-friend-finder

I have also made a couple pages ("About Fictionkin" and "About Fictives") in preparation, although all they say right now is "Under Construction!". I have yet to make the articles page where articles and essays written by various fictionkin and fictives, (and essentially whoever submits a decent article) will be displayed. I still have to figure out how to do that properly.

In the meantime, enjoy the "Canon Friend Finder" page!

http://fictionkinuniverse.tumblr.com/ This is a thing now, and it's not the only one I've seen floating around. Perhaps you could get in contact with the moderators and see if you could set up a partnership, possibly? Makes it simpler than having 3+ different directories on the Internet.

I've seen that, but there's a Tumblr list for just about everything, and I've tried to get into contact with these lists, and unfortunately have yet to receive replies at all.

Is this an original idea? Not in the slightest. I don't see it as an issue, however, even if a bigger, more encompassing list would be nicer. The problem here is the lack of reciprocated communication on Tumblr. For some reason I almost never get replies.

Oh, that's disappointing. Well, you tried, and that's all I was suggesting. I didn't know you'd already tried to get in contact.

Many of the blogs on Tumblr that are meant to be all-encompassing are often poorly organised. I suppose that's partly due to the fact that it's so easy to create a 'directory' on Tumblr and advertise it in the tags.
