This is not a goodbye, just a alteration to our role around the site!
We've been a part of Fictionkin.com pretty much since its start; we were eager to become part of the community, and participate with other people like ourselves. Lots of things have changed while we've been a part of this community, and we've happily watched as this site has expanded, and grown, under the careful watch of the staff members, eventually joining the staff team, ourselves. We've enjoyed our tenure as staff; we've enjoyed being able to reach out to such a broad audience, and provide guidance, assistance, and friendship to those who needed, or were looking for it.
Part of that time has passed. While we fully intend to continue visiting this place, and interacting with the staff and users alike, we're unable to continue our time as an administrator. Due to an increasingly busy personal life, we cannot give this place the attention it deserves. We do not want to create additional burden on Jade and Elsa by not being able to act when needed, and we know how valuable an extra pair of watching eyes is. We do not want to deprive them of that! As we're unable to pay as much attention to the user base, new and old alike, we are willingly forfeiting our position as administrator, in the hopes that someone who is able to dedicate more of their time to this place will fill the role.
We have complete confidence in Jade and Elsa to continue to run this place as smoothly as they have been, and we know that they will do a fantastic job in finding a good third admin. We want to thank Elsa for providing us with the opportunity we had been given, to go from regular user, to moderator, to administrator. We want to thank Jade and the other staff members for being kind, patient, understanding, and a pleasure to work with while we worked together.
We'll be seeing everyone around the forums. Take care, everyone, and make sure to congratulate your new third administrator when they step up to the plate!
Signed,
Revolver "Shalashaska" Ocelot, on behalf of all of the Diamond Dogs system.
